Released by local powerhouse LUXOR the film started with 87 screens and took the third place in local box office charts. Currently, the film plays in 250 screens and took 1,2 Mio. US Dollar in Box office so far.
TURTLE: THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY is a theatrical documentary feature film and tells the story of a little loggerhead turtle, who follows in the path of her ancestors on one of the most extraordinary journeys in the natural world. Born on a beach in Florida, she rides the Gulf Stream all the way to the frozen north and ultimately swims around the entire North Atlantic to Africa and back to the beach where she was born. But the odds are stacked against her; just one in a thousand turtles survive the journey.
The director, Nick Stringer is an Emmy-winning producer/director. He is also a director of Big Wave productions, one of the world's leading producers of wild life and science documentary. Mike Downey, Sam Taylor serve for FAME, UK as delegate producers. Tradewind (Germany) and Allegro Film (Austria) served as co-producers.
