European Distributors ready to release Sola Media´s TURTLES: THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY with more than 180 prints in October 2009 /

TURTLES premiering at Family Zone with Miranda Richardson and Nick Stringer presenting the film at TIFF

European Distriubtors are getting ready for nationwide theatrical releases of Nick Stinger´s TURTLE: THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY – which will be presented at Toronto International Film Festival in the Sprockets / Family Zone on September 12, 2009.

In Germany Polyband / Fox Germany will release nationwide with 100 theatrical prints, Ascot Elite in Switzerland with 30 prints, Luna Film (Austria) with 20 prints on October 1, 2009. In Italy (Brave) will release on October 22 with 15 prints and Independent Film and Kinopolis in Holland and Belgium with 15 prints.

Spanish Karma Film has set the release for January 2010 with more terrtories to follow in 2010. UK Actress and film narrator Miranda Richardson and Emmy Award winning director Nick Stringer are attending the premiere at Toronto Film Festival on September 12, 2009.

Produced by UK based BIG FAME, Allegro Film (Austria) and Tradewind (Germany), TURTLE is a theatrical documentary feature film and tells the story of a little loggerhead turtle, who follows in the path of her ancestors on one of the most extraordinary journeys in the natural world.

Born on a beach in Florida, she rides the Gulf Stream all the way to the frozen north and ultimately swims around the entire North Atlantic to Africa and back to the beach where she was born. But the odds are stacked against her; just one in a thousand turtles survive the journey. TURTLE has all the elements of a great epic – suspense, adventures, despair and hope.
