Solveig Langeland´s SOLA MEDIA has taken on all international rights
– except Scandinavian Territories - on Thomas Borch Nielsen´s
SUNSHINE BARRY & THE DISCO WORMS.
The animation feature is produced by Nina Crone. AB Svensk has taken
Scandinavian rights for a release in October 2008.
“Sunshine Barry & the Disco Worms" is an incredibly original
and innovative universe about the young earthworm Barry, who is fed
up with being at the bottom of the food chain. All the other insects
in the backyard consider earthworms to be major losers: no arms –
no backbone – no brain!
Barry’s only future prospect is a boring “career”
as middle manager in the composting business. But one day an old disco
record turns his life upside down, and suddenly there’s light
ahead. Barry wants to start the world’s greatest disco band: Sunshine
Barry and the Disco Worms. “Worms can't boogie! - but”,
as Barry puts it, “we'll find a way!”
