German media group TELEPOOL acquires Sola Media´s football box
office hit GILLES

Munich based media group TELEPOOL has acquired German and Austrian rights on Sola Media´s football feature GILLES.

GILLES, which has already sold more than 230.000 theatre tickets in Belgium, took at German Festival SCHLINGEL the Grand Jury Prize for Best Film and Best Actor Prize for Ilya Van Malderghem.

About the film:
Every weekend all across Belgium, thousands of proud and nervous football fathers cheer on their football sons. Among them is Bert, who’s thrilled that his 12-year-old son Gilles is a talented and passionate football player.

Gilles’ ultimate ambition is to run on the field of the King Baudouin Stadium, and wear Red Devils’ jersey. His father Bert is not just Gilles’ most loyal supporter-- he’s also his personal coach.

But unexpectedly, Bert dies and Gilles’ life crumbles. He faces a difficult search for his place in a new life. Will there be time for football practice, and a career as a Red Devil?
GILLES is a film about making choices, dreams, letting go and about love. Sometimes you win when you loose.
