Synopsis

A film about an attractive woman who decides to fight again for her dreams!

Attractive and successful Christine (Claudia Michelsen) is married to the equally career oriented Georg (Ulrich Tukur). They have a teenage daughter SONJA who is starting to break away from the parental nest. Everything seems perfect on the surface. However, Christine is having an affair with MARTIN (Tobias Moretti), a close friend of the family. The secret arrangement has started to bore her and she is aware of the fact that her husband has a long term mistress as well.

The annual summer vacation in Italy seems to be the one last chance to sort things out. Christine finds herself very attracted to a good looking young man TAMAZ. Sexual tension is in the air at first sight! While her daughter Sonja enjoys her first love with her Italian boyfriend, Christine starts an amour fou with Tamaz which pleases all her erotic fantasies and hidden desires. Things get even more complicated when her husband falls in love with his wife again and her long term lover Martin shows up to celebrate Christine’s 42nd birthday together with the family.

Not happy with this new situation in her house, Christine leaves her birthday party to meet Tamaz. Everything seems to be up-side down; a classic Shakespearean midsummer night confusion. At the end of the summer Christine and Georg have learned that their relationship has only one chance to survive if they are willing to be honest with each other and avoid the daily routines and habitual patterns. Both of them accept this new challenge of life. At least they will try.
